RVL currently offers a range of Ground Penetrating Radar services.

Utility Mapping

Given the increasingly busy utility networks below our streets and built up areas coupled with the lack of archival information available regarding drainage systems still in use or now disused, in some cases the only option is GPR. We specialize in mapping complex drainage systems and utility networks.

Archaeological Survey

RVL GPR licenced operators have carried out archaeological survey on some of the most delicate historical projects, providing accurate locational evidence with clearly identifiable imagery of features of significant historical importance.

Subsurface Chemical Storage

Our research has lead us to investigate underground storage facilities for their structural integrity. We offer a service to identify the degenerative state of subsurface storage facilities should their integrity be in question.

GPR for Golf

Keeping your course in championship condition to attract major competition is crucial to stay ahead of the game. We provide the most advanced process for mapping your fairways and greens for blockage, collapse or the reason behind areas of slow drainage.

Mapp and pinpoint your drainage network, or discover problematic drainage systems with no course records.

Avoid disrupting existing drainage when redesigning or introducing hazards with accurately located GPS coordinates supplied as part of your GPR service.

Culvert Mapping

Culvert Mapping was at the forefront of RVLs research. By successfully imaging failed culverts with fully functioning culverts we have been able to create a comparison program. We have also been able to successfully identify erosion evolving as a result of culvert breach, in many cases the cause of sinkholes or washout.

Land Purchase

When purchasing land for development of redevelopment it pays to have a GPR survey carried out. With a first stage basic survey highlighting subsurface risk to the client by identifying areas of question, a second stage high detailed structural identification scan can then be carried out on the areas of question, confirming risk therefore enabling the purchaser to negotiate corrective work at point of sale.

Railview is in the next market phase developing the company and workforce alongside this exciting product. RVL has experience in rail research which is why the rail industry is the target for this project and product. The management team are searching for opportunities to take the technology from the proven science into the demonstration phase.

RVL business strategy is based on the intellectual property developed through internal investment and client projects. The IP is in two forms: the vehicle mounted mechanical scanning assembly with its associated control, systems and the algorithms that process the radar data into 3D images. Because of the uniqueness of TRACKSCAN, innovations in both of these segments have the potential for patent applications, and RVL fully intends to pursue comprehensive patent protections. The software source code containing the algorithms are kept confidential within RVL as permitted in this call, and is also protected by copyright.
